Dr. Daya K. Gupta Founding President (1988 - 1990)

Dr. Gupta is the chief eye surgeon and medical director of the Gupta Eye Centre. As founder of MAAP, Dr. Gupta has become the heart and soul of the Association through his hard work and dedication. He has been heavily involved with the Hindu Society of Manitoba for the past 25 years. As the chair of the new temple committee, Dr. Gupta has overseen its successful completion.
Dr. Davinder S. Rehsia (1990 - 1992)

Dr. Rehsia is an established eye surgeon who has been practicing in Winnipeg for over 25 years. The help of Dr. Rehsia allowed the Association to grow and flourish. His main area of interest is in anterior segment eye surgery and LASIK. His wishes, for the Association to gather more youth involvement, have been realized. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling with his family.
Dr. Amarjit Arneja (1992 - 1994)

Dr. Arneja is an associate Professer in the Department of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. He is the Clinical Head of Day Hospital, section of Rehab Hospital, Health Sciences Center, U of M. He is a director of perifreal arterial disease and amputee program. He organized the first CME retreat of MAAP in 1993 at Hecla Island and since then, it has become a popular annual event. Dr. Arneja has served as Commissionaire of Manitoba Human Rights Comission and is the elected councilor of the Manitoba College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Jagat N. Singh (1994 - 1996)

Dr. Singh is a fellow of The American College of Allergy and Asthma and Immunology. His area of interest is in his practice of Allergy medicine. In the time he served as President, he carried forward the visions and ideals of MAAP. In his spare time, Dr. Singh's major passion lies in watercolour painting.
Dr. Narendra Jain (1996 - 1997)

Dr. Jain is a very prominent family practitioner. He organized and promoted the annual CME program and Hecla retreat with great enthusiasm. He and his wife, Dr. Madhuri Jain, remain strong MAAP supporters. Dr. Jain has also been a long time active member of The Hindu Society of Manitoba.
Dr. Deepak Bose (1997 - 1998)

Dr. Bose is a Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Manitoba Medical School. He recognized that the future of MAAP lies on the shoulders of the young physicians of tomorrow and worked hard to find solutions to address those issues. Through Dr. Bose's teaching manners, he has become a loved professor among the students he educates. MAAP has been enriched by the numerous thoughts and ideas Dr. Bose has contributed.
Dr. Sashi Seshia (1998 - 2000)

Dr. Seshia is an accomplished Pediatric Neurologist who has recently retired from the UNiversity of Manitoba. Dr. Seshia was instrumental in the strealining of the administrative aspects of the Association, especially of hte Hecla retreat. He was also an active organizer of the CME programs both in the winter and summer conferences.
Dr. Baharat Shah (2000 - 2001)

Dr. Shah is a well recognized Family Practitioner in Winnipeg for over 25 years. Dr. Shah's contributions to MAAP are ongoing, as he is the primary troubleshooter of the Association. Events are run smoothly and well organized through the tireless efforts of Dr. Shah. He is a very prominent member of the Gujurati Society of Manitoba.
Dr. Sabiha Haseeb (2001 - 2003)

Dr. Haseeb is a Family Practitioner serving the St. Boniface Community as well as the Riverview Health Centre. Dr. Haseeb encouraged and promoted hte interest and participation of the members in the local provincial issues surrounding the profession. As a member of the CME committee, she helped broaden the subjects that the members deemed important.
Dr. Yatish Kotecha (2003 - 2004)

Dr. Kotecha is a well respected Family Practitioner in west Winnipeg. His focus on MAAP has been in the organization of CME events and recruiting numerous pharmaceutical companines to sponsor high quality local and national speakers. Dr. Kotecha has also encouraged the participation of residents and students in CME programs.
Dr. Subhash Sethi (2004 - 2006)

Dr. Sethi is the Head of the Department of Anesthesia at the Victoria General Hospital. Dr. Sethi is making advanements in the organization of MAAP, including the creation of the MAAP website. He is also a strong advocate of student and resident involvement in the Association for the benefit of the future of MAAP.
